_DSC0524I was born in Nagano Japan, located 1500-foot high surrounded by 8,000 to 10,000 high mountains.  Until I came to Hillsboro in late 2005, I had no interest in photography but soon became interested because of the beautiful and vast landscapes this area has to offer. I soon bought my first digital DSR, Nikon D80, took some photography classes at the local community college and have been hooked on photography ever since.  My favorite photographers are Seiya Nakai, a Japanese railroad photographer, and Art Wolfe.  It was very exciting to attend Art’s workshop in Seattle two years ago.

Equipment:  I use D7100 (Nikon), 17-70 mm F2.8-4 (Sigma), 70-200 mm F2.8 (Nikon), 60 mm micro (Nikon), CX-213 tripod (Induro), SL-50AZD ball head (Umemoto) and Stylus Photo R3000 printer (Epson).

Post Processing: I use SilkyPix made by a Japanese company as a RAW development software, and Photomatix Pro for HDR imaging.

Projects:  I am currently focusing on sunrise/sunsets, monochrome, and mildly applied HDR imaging.
